Sermorelin Dosage Calculator & Chart

Work out exactly how many units of Sermorelin to draw on a U-100 insulin syringe. Pre-filled with a 5 mg vial and 2 mL of bacteriostatic water — change any value to match your vial.

  1. Concentration = 5 mg × 1,000 ÷ 2 mL = 2,500 mcg/mL
  2. Volume = 300 mcg ÷ 2,500 mcg/mL = 0.12 mL
  3. Units = 0.12 mL × 100 = 12 units (U-100: 100 units = 1 mL)

The pre-filled dose (300 mcg) is an example input so the calculator shows a result. It is not a recommendation.

Sermorelin dosage chart (in units)

No validated human dose.

Sermorelin has not been approved for human use, and there are no controlled human trials that establish a dose. The amounts below are what public protocol websites report — they are shown so you can see how they translate into syringe units, not as a recommendation.

Reference pages list 200–500 mcg per injection, with 300 mcg as the usual example. Units are calculated for your current mix (5 mg vial + 2 mL water).

Sermorelin units chart

Units to draw on a U-100 syringe for common Sermorelin vial sizes, each mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water. Change the water in the calculator and this table updates.

Values are units on a U-100 insulin syringe (100 units = 1 mL). ">100" means the dose does not fit in a 1 mL syringe at this dilution.

About Sermorelin

Sermorelin is a synthetic version of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It was once sold as Geref for growth hormone deficiency in children.

Regulatory status: Previously FDA-approved (Geref), but no longer marketed in the US. Today it is mainly supplied by compounding pharmacies or as a "research peptide", which are not FDA-approved products.

Also searched as: sermorelin acetate, Geref, GRF 1-29.

How to reconstitute Sermorelin

  1. Wash your hands and let the vial reach room temperature.
  2. Wipe the rubber stoppers of the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic water with an alcohol pad.
  3. Draw the planned amount of bacteriostatic water (for example 2 mL — that is 200 units on a 1 mL syringe).
  4. Inject the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial, not directly onto the powder.
  5. Gently swirl or roll the vial until the powder dissolves. Do not shake.
  6. Label the vial with the date and the concentration shown by the calculator, and store it as the product label directs (reconstituted peptides are normally kept refrigerated).

These are general handling steps, not medical instructions. If your product came with instructions from a pharmacy or prescriber, follow those.

What you need

  • Bacteriostatic water

Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, used to dissolve the powder.

  • U-100 insulin syringes

0.3 mL syringes are easiest to read for small doses; 1 mL for larger ones.

  • Alcohol prep pads

Wipe the vial stopper before every draw.

  • Sharps container

For safe disposal of used needles.

Sermorelin calculator FAQ

How many units is 300 mcg of Sermorelin?

+

It depends on how much water you add. With a 5 mg vial mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, the concentration is 2,500 mcg/mL, so 300 mcg is 0.12 mL = 12 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. With a 10 mg vial and the same 2 mL of water it is 6 units.

How much water should I add to a 5 mg Sermorelin vial?

+

The water volume does not change the total amount of Sermorelin; it only sets the concentration. Common choices are 1–3 mL. With 2 mL, each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 25 mcg. Pick a volume that makes your dose easy to read on the syringe — the calculator above suggests volumes that land on round numbers.

How many doses are in a 5 mg vial of Sermorelin?

+

At 300 mcg per injection, a 5 mg vial contains 16 full doses. The amount of water you add does not change this number.

What Sermorelin dosage do people use?

+

There is no validated human dose for Sermorelin. Reference pages list 200–500 mcg per injection, with 300 mcg as the usual example. For reference, 200 mcg from a 5 mg vial mixed with 2 mL of water is 8 units. These figures come from protocol websites, not clinical trials, and are not a recommendation.

Is Sermorelin approved?

+

Previously FDA-approved (Geref), but no longer marketed in the US. Today it is mainly supplied by compounding pharmacies or as a "research peptide", which are not FDA-approved products.
