TB-500 Dosage Calculator & Chart

Work out exactly how many units of TB-500 to draw on a U-100 insulin syringe. Pre-filled with a 5 mg vial and 2 mL of bacteriostatic water — change any value to match your vial.

  1. Concentration = 5 mg × 1,000 ÷ 2 mL = 2,500 mcg/mL
  2. Volume = 2,000 mcg ÷ 2,500 mcg/mL = 0.8 mL
  3. Units = 0.8 mL × 100 = 80 units (U-100: 100 units = 1 mL)

The pre-filled dose (2 mg) is an example input so the calculator shows a result. It is not a recommendation.

TB-500 dosage chart (in units)

No validated human dose.

TB-500 has not been approved for human use, and there are no controlled human trials that establish a dose. The amounts below are what public protocol websites report — they are shown so you can see how they translate into syringe units, not as a recommendation.

Online protocols list 2–2.5 mg per injection, twice weekly for a "loading" period, then once weekly. Units are calculated for your current mix (5 mg vial + 2 mL water).

TB-500 units chart

Units to draw on a U-100 syringe for common TB-500 vial sizes, each mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water. Change the water in the calculator and this table updates.

Values are units on a U-100 insulin syringe (100 units = 1 mL). ">100" means the dose does not fit in a 1 mL syringe at this dilution.

About TB-500

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on the active region of thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring protein studied for its role in tissue repair. Human data are limited.

Regulatory status: Not approved by the FDA for any human use. Products sold as "research peptides" are not regulated as medicines, and their purity and labeled content are not verified.

Also searched as: thymosin beta-4 fragment, TB500.

How to reconstitute TB-500

  1. Wash your hands and let the vial reach room temperature.
  2. Wipe the rubber stoppers of the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic water with an alcohol pad.
  3. Draw the planned amount of bacteriostatic water (for example 2 mL — that is 200 units on a 1 mL syringe).
  4. Inject the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial, not directly onto the powder.
  5. Gently swirl or roll the vial until the powder dissolves. Do not shake.
  6. Label the vial with the date and the concentration shown by the calculator, and store it as the product label directs (reconstituted peptides are normally kept refrigerated).

These are general handling steps, not medical instructions. If your product came with instructions from a pharmacy or prescriber, follow those.

What you need

  • Bacteriostatic water

Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, used to dissolve the powder.

  • U-100 insulin syringes

0.3 mL syringes are easiest to read for small doses; 1 mL for larger ones.

  • Alcohol prep pads

Wipe the vial stopper before every draw.

  • Sharps container

For safe disposal of used needles.

TB-500 calculator FAQ

How many units is 2 mg of TB-500?

+

It depends on how much water you add. With a 5 mg vial mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, the concentration is 2,500 mcg/mL, so 2 mg is 0.8 mL = 80 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. With a 10 mg vial and the same 2 mL of water it is 40 units.

How much water should I add to a 5 mg TB-500 vial?

+

The water volume does not change the total amount of TB-500; it only sets the concentration. Common choices are 1–3 mL. With 2 mL, each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 25 mcg. Pick a volume that makes your dose easy to read on the syringe — the calculator above suggests volumes that land on round numbers.

How many doses are in a 5 mg vial of TB-500?

+

At 2 mg per injection, a 5 mg vial contains 2 full doses. The amount of water you add does not change this number.

What TB-500 dosage do people use?

+

There is no validated human dose for TB-500. Online protocols list 2–2.5 mg per injection, twice weekly for a "loading" period, then once weekly. For reference, 2.5 mg from a 5 mg vial mixed with 2 mL of water is 100 units. These figures come from protocol websites, not clinical trials, and are not a recommendation.

Is TB-500 approved?

+

Not approved by the FDA for any human use. Products sold as "research peptides" are not regulated as medicines, and their purity and labeled content are not verified.
